Fundraising at Portland Nursery

Every year there is a small window of opportunity for both Portland Nursery locations to be able to host special fundraising events for local community organizations.

For the Division store, the last weekend in June finds the site cleared of the tents and displays and equipment used for their two weekend Strawberry Social, a temporary “empty space” that has proven to be a perfect venue for Portland Impact's annual “Garden Party”  auction.

On a warm summer evening, the nursery in glorious full bloom, the event takes on a real “garden” atmosphere, as guests mingle and look over auction items, sipping wine and getting ready to get some great deals while helping support a great organization.

Stark’s opportunity comes in the early fall, as the decks are cleared in preparation for the annual Apple Tasting festival – tents are put up a couple weeks early and with tables and lights providing an elegant outdoor setting to hold Mt Tabor Middle School's annual fundraising auction. 

The weather is cooler at the end of September, but the colors are intense with autumn foliage and flower, and as the evening progresses there is a glow from the suspended lights and a special party atmosphere as guests get ready for energetic bidding on a variety of enticing auction items.

It’s fun to see the transformation our locations go through for these special events. At Portland Nursery, we love the opportunity to provide a “flowery” venue for these two worthy events!
