The Portland Nursery's Apple Festival has always had a unique importance to my family, particularly my daughter Damaris, who has celebrated her October birthday in conjunction with the festival since whe was 6 years old.

She has not missed one in 20 years -- until this year -- as she now resides in Ireland. Now forced to break with tradition, we came up with an idea -- a stand-in, her old Bunny, to be documented cheerfully taking Damaris' place in the much loved festival events that had shaped and colored her childhood.
