2012 Portland Nursery Photo Contest
Help a favorite Charity and
win a $100 Portland Nursery gift certificate.
We're having a photo contest and you're invited! Enter for a chance to win a $100 Portland Nursery Gift Card for you and a $500 cash prize for a non-profit organization (we'll provide the list) or a school garden program of your choice. A big thank you to Whitney Farms for their generosity in donating the cash prizes!
So, dust off your camera or look through your existing collection of digital photos – we look forward to seeing your best shots!
Eligibility:
This contest is open to anyone except the owners and staff (current year-round and seasonal) of Portland Nursery and their families, the owners and staff of Whitney Farms/ Scott's, their families, or anyone residing in the same household as any of the above.
How to Enter:
Original digital photos will be accepted electronically until midnight, PT, September 30, 2012.
Limit: maximum of five (5) photos per person.

- Your Portland Post Card
- Show us Your Garden
Photos may be submitted in one or more categories, as long as the total number of submissions doesn't exceed five (5).
Submit images in JPG format. Each image should be no larger than 5MB, and each image must be in a separate, named file. The file name must have: the Entrant's last name, submitting category and title (or 'untitled1' 'untitled2' etc.) of the photo (example: smith_ natural world_trees in snow)

Subject line of the email should read "Photo Contest 2012"
Photos will be accepted electronically until midnight PT, September 30, 2012. Limit: maximum of five (5) photos per person.
The body of the email should include:
- Current contact information, including name, mailing address, phone (both home and cell, as applicable), and email address.
- List by LAST NAME, TITLE and CATEGORY of each photo submitted.
- File information must correspond to that of the list in the body of the email (be very careful with this; different judges will be looking at different categories, so your photos may not all stay together, and need to be able to be identified as yours, especially if you're a finalist!)
Any entries that are not formatted to these instructions will be eliminated from competition.
Voting:
A group of judges, made up of employees of Portland Nursery and Whitney Farms, will select their top three photos from each category. Those selected will be linked at Portland Nursery's Facebook page, where the public will be able to vote to determine the final winner in each category.
Prizes:
The winner in each category will receive a $100 Portland Nursery Gift Card. They also may select a recipient from a provided list of non-profit organizations and school garden projects that will receive a cash prize of $500 from Whitney Farms.
The finalists will be displayed at both Portland Nursery locations and the winners displayed also on the Portland Nursery website.
