Landscape Design Services
 Our Division location offers Landscape Design as a special service for gardeners. Our landscape designers will work with you to create a customized planting plan and plant list.
All you need to do is fill out our Landscape Questionnaire. The questionnaire provides instructions for collecting the base information needed about your project. Print out the Questionnaire here or pick it up at Portland Nursery on Division Street.
Our designers can help design:
- Welcoming entry gardens
- Low maintenance front yard plantings
- Back yards and inviting patio plantings
- Peaceful sanctuary gardens
- Fun and safe play areas
- Fabulous containers and hanging baskets
- Edible landscape: herb, veggie gardens, and orchards
- Wildlife gardens that attract birds, bees, and butterflies

Fees for services
Fees are based on the size of the proposed garden site. All design fees can be used toward the purchase of plants at Portland Nursery. To help us understand your gardening needs, please fill out this Landscape Questionnaire.
0 - 100 square feet
$50 design fee and plant credit
-a small perennial border, narrow planting strip, boulevard planting
100 - 500 square feet
$100 design fee and plant credit
-new beds around an established lawn, sweeping borders, foundation plantings
500 - 1000 square feet
$250 design fee and plant credit
-small yard, wide beds for mixed plantings, shade gardens with meandering paths
1000+ square feet
$500+ design fee and plant credit
-full design for front and/or back yard. May include trees, screens, terraces, and lawns.
